In the camp of Mystic Circle the preparations for the next album go at full blast, as Beelzebub, Ezpharess & Co will start working on "Damien" together with poroducer Gerhard Magin on may 30 entering the Commusication Studio. As Beelzebub states the new cd is conceptually following the idea of the "Omens" movies, musically the new record will become the by far most brutal one of the band, the Coverartwork will be done from J.P.Fournier again. But there will also be some live activities of the dark satanic metal band # 1 this year, the appearance on this year's Summer Breeze Festival is already confirmed.

Official statement from Mystic Circle, about the cancellation of some of the gigs of the tour.

The tour with Ancient Rites turned out to be a total disaster for Mystic Circle and the Dark Satanic Metallers had no choice than to leave the package a few days before the end of the tour. It all begab 5 weeks before the tour started, when both frontman/four-stringer Beelzebub and guitarist Ezpharess were confronted with the quitting of drummer Mark Reign (aka Abyss), who wanted to take over the drum seat now vacant in the Destruction camp. Despite the short amount of time left, Mystic Circle got to work and tested 15 possible replacements so that their fans would not be disappointed. The conditions on tour turned out to be simply unacceptable for the band: there was very little room on stage (Mystic Circle had to play in front of Ancient Rites' backline, which also effected the sound quality) and also the fact that the band received no pay and were living off their merchandise sales would have been no big deal, if the other conditions had been better. But these were absolutely catastrophic.
The tourbus provided for the band can only be described as a jalopy. One wheel of the trailer - in which the stage equipment was being transported caught fire which could have resulted in absolute disaster. Then we heard that the trailer wasn't even insured.
The heater in this tourbus kept packing up which meant that - in sub-zero temperatures outside - it was like spending several days and nights in a fridge. The freezing temperatures both inside and out caused Beelzebub to come down with fever and a terrible flu and a doctor had to be called in.
To attempt to do the show that night, never mind the rest of the tour would have been irresponsible and would have risked the health of everyone else in the tour party. In order to prevent the fever and flu turning into pneumonia, the band decided to end their tour as part of this package.
The tour organiser, Crush Concerts threatened to sue the band when he was informed about the reasons and released a press statement in which he accused the band of mistreating their fans.
Mystic Circle did everything they could to play this tour (guitarist Ezpahres was even working as a Roadie!!), and we find the statement made by Crush Concerts to be unfair and above all incorrect and unfounded. Ancient Rites continued the tour purely for financial reasons.
The band is really keen on playing for their fans under more humane conditions in the future and until then, Beelzebub and Ezpharess ask you for your understanding for their reasons for leaving the Ancient Rites Tour!
